The Manti-La Sal National Forest is welcoming comments on a proposed Restoration and Fuels Reduction Prescribed Fire project.

They are proposing to increase the pace and scale of prescribed burning on lands within the Manti-La Sal National Forest. This is to reduce the risk of uncharacteristic wildfire to key ecosystem components, increase the resiliency of existing vegetation as well as improve wildlife habitats.

Comments must be submitted online by August 2.
