(Juab County, UT) — A Minnesota man who stole a Utah Highway Patrol vehicle and then shot at troopers is heading to federal prison. James Klein was sentenced to 25 years for attempted aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping, among other charges. It was nearly two years ago when the 35-year-old was pulled over for a traffic violation near the Yuba Lake State Park exit and officers found drugs in his car. He then took off in the UHP car and later fired at the troopers with a rifle. Klein then shot a passenger while trying to steal another vehicle before being taken into custody.
