MAGNA, Utah (AP) — Authorities say a man has died in a house fire in Magna. United Fire Authority says a police officer pulled the man, who was wheelchair bound, from the burning home shortly after 4 a.m. Monday. But he was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man and a woman were able to escape and were transported to a hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known. Firefighters say the blaze began in the basement.
