(Iron County, UT) — A suspect was arrested Sunday in Iron County after allegedly threatening his property owner with a gun and refusing to cooperate with law enforcement. Police say 65-year-old John Gorecki, who had been living in a motor home on the property, became agitated after being evicted and pointed a handgun at the property owner. A standoff ensued, with deputies and SWAT teams attempting to get Gorecki to exit. After two hours, SWAT used non-lethal force to subdue him. Gorecki was booked on multiple charges, including aggravated assault and possession of a weapon by a restricted person.
