(St. George, UT) — The 2nd Congressional District Republican primary is still too close to call. Incumbent Celeste Maloy was holding a slim lead over Colby Jenkins as of yesterday evening with roughly 95-percent of ballots counted. Maloy’s advantage was less than 400 votes and one political strategist told KSL a recount is possible. Maloy is running for her first full term after she took over for Chris Stewart following his resignation from the seat last year. Utah’s 2nd District covers a major portion of the state, including St. George and Salt Lake City.
