(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah lawmaker Phil Lyman isn’t letting defeat keep him from running for governor. The Blanding Republican wrote a message on social media this past weekend saying he will be running as a write-in candidate in November. Lyman lost the primary to Governor Spencer Cox earlier this summer by nearly 40-thousand votes and has since challenged Cox’s eligibility to be a candidate. He told the Salt Lake Tribune that his challenge to the election results has had a “positive” impact on his campaign.
