Local Orgs Push Back Against Statewide Tax Cuts

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Local organizations are pushing back against Governor Cox’s proposed one-billion-dollar tax cut. Instead, organizers want to see investments in Utah’s future. In a press conference at the State Capitol yesterday, a conservation policy expert with the Utah Rivers Council said hundreds of millions of dollars are needed to save the Great Salt Lake. Meanwhile, a Community Action Partnership of Utah spokesperson said lawmakers need to put money toward affordable housing.
