Legislature Passes Halfway Point

(Salt Lake City, UT)  –  Utah lawmakers are halfway through this year’s session of the legislature.  Today marks the 23rd day of the 45-day session.  Though lawmakers filed a record number of bills this year, only 56 have been approved and sent to Governor Herbert’s desk.  The governor has signed only one item sent to him by lawmakers and that was the resolution asking President Trump to roll back the Bears Ears monument designation.Â
