Legally blind twins’ perseverance recognized at Weber State

OGDEN, Utah (AP) — Twin brothers Antonio and Armand Berry didn’t have a easy start at life: As babies, they were shaken by their biological father, which left them legally blind. Later adopted by their maternal grandparents in Ogden, they have grown up to become students at Weber State University. Armand is hoping to become a high school teacher and follow in the footsteps of a beloved coach, while Antonio is studying to be a marriage and family therapist. Virtual learning during the coronavirus pandemic brought new challenges, but this year Antonio nominated his brother for Weber State’s Wildcat Achievement Award and Armand won.
