(Salt Lake City, UT) — Senator Mike Lee says he will debate independent challenger Evan McMullin at least once before the November election. The Utah Republican tweeted yesterday that he looks forward to a debate with McMullin and that his team is working with the Debate Commission to set a date. McMullin responded by saying he was glad Lee “finally committed” to having a debate. McMullin is counting on independent and Democratic support in his bid to unseat the two-term senator.
