Lawmaker Wants A Law Exempting COVID-19 Vaccines

(Pleasant Grove, UT) — Utah state Representative Jon Hawkins is proposing a bill that would let anyone who has been infected by COVID-19 be legally able to opt out of having a vaccine with a note from a physician. The Republican almost died from COVID-19 this year and says natural immunity should count. State epidemiologist Dr. Leisha Nolen continues to urge everyone to get vaccinated and says previous infection is not the best protection. Hawkins will introduce the bill in the next legislative session.
