(Salt Lake City, UT) — A Utah lawmaker is proposing a change to state gun laws following a deadly mass shooting in Texas. State Senator Derek Kitchen wants to raise the minimum age for buying a gun from 18 to 21-years-old. Kitchen says anyone who isn’t old enough to buy alcohol should also be barred from buying guns.
