(Salt Lake City, UT) — A bill that would tweak Utah’s conversion therapy ban is headed to the full House after the measure’s sponsor and LGBTQ advocates reached a compromise on Monday. North Logan Republican Representative Mike Logan said he’d made changes to the bill to address concerns voiced by members of Equality Utah. The bill would continue to ban conversion therapy for children and teens by enshrining the 2020 rule in the Utah code while clarifying language that led to ambiguity and concerns for therapists, counselors and professionals.
