(Lake Powell, UT) — Officials at southern Utah’s Lake Powell want to make sure families are safe during Independence Day celebrations. Glen Canyon National Recreation Area will be taking part in Operation Dry Water from Saturday to Monday of next week. It’s an effort to make sure those getting on the water aren’t under the influence of drugs or alcohol while operating a boat. Officials hope everybody is responsible all-year round and doesn’t forget to wear a life jacket on the lake.
