(Page, AZ) — The National Park Service is warning visitors of a toxic algae bloom in Lake Powell. An advisory was issued just ahead of the extended July 4th holiday weekend. Officials say the bloom was found near Antelope Canyon but could be present in other parts of the lake. Visitors are advised to avoid unnecessary exposure to the water if fishing or boating in the area. So far, no closures have been issued as people prepare to enjoy the lake for Independence Day.
