(Kanab, UT) — A southern Utah man is being charged in the death of his wife four years ago. Kane County’s Ashley Pine was charged Tuesday with automobile homicide for an ATV crash in 2020 while he was under the influence of alcohol. The 49-year-old was speeding in the ATV when it rolled over and ejected his wife, Amy Knowlton, from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene while Pine’s blood alcohol content was found to be more than three times the legal limit. The automobile homicide is a second-degree felony.
