Intermountain Healthcare has purchased property in Ephraim to build a new hospital. In a press release, Ephraim City stated “we believe that a future hospital will be a tremendous advantage for Ephraim residents and students at Snow College.” The selected site is on the South end of Ephraim and the hospital campus is expected to be about 35 acres. Mayor John Scott shared “right now this investment by Intermountain will be the largest rural healthcare investment, that we are aware of, in the state of Utah.” Currently Intermountain has not provided a timeline or detail of their future plans.
