(Delta, UT) — Intermountain Healthcare will begin using an artificial intelligence platform to help discover and treat cancer in the colon. Intermountain’s hospital in Delta announced the implementation of a tool called GI Genius yesterday. The tool will be used during colonoscopies to examine polyps in real time and point out any that might be cancerous. Intermountain also plans to use the GI Genius technology at hospitals in Fillmore, Cedar City and Heber Valley.
