(Salt Lake City, UT) — Intermountain Healthcare is moving into other states through a mega-merger. Intermountain and Colorado-based SCL Health announced they would operate under one banner, and be headquartered in Salt Lake City. The combined health system will include 33 hospitals, 385 clinics and more than 58-thousand employees in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Kansas and Montana. Currently, both health care systems provide services that have no geographic overlap.
