(Juab County, UT) — An Illinois man was arrested Friday after police in Nephi found 101 pounds of methamphetamine in his vehicle. Police say the drugs were discovered after a routine traffic stop for a missing license plate light. Carlos Guadalupe Navarro Ornelas, who claimed to be traveling to California, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to distribute. A narcotic detection dog led officers to two large garbage bags containing the drugs. Navarro was booked into Juab County Jail.
