Fire officials are gaining some containment on a wildfire burning in Beaver County.
According to Utah Fire Info, the Mile Marker 122 fire has burned 1000 acres as of Thursday night, but crews have gained 25 percent containment.
UDOT officials had closed both directions of traffic on I-15 Thursday afternoon, but opened the road back up around 5 p.m. that evening.
The wildfire is located approximately 10 miles North of Beaver. UHP says a trailer carrying carnival rides detached from a truck and rolled into the brush, sparking the blaze.
Although the road is back open, officials warn many firefighters are still working in the area and there’s still a possibility for low visibility.
