Utah Highway Patrol Troopers say there were 227 drug busts in 2017.
The Department of Public Safety has released the end of the year statistics for drug busts in the state.
Over 4,000 pounds of marijuana was seized, along with 550 pounds of methamphetamine, 100 pounds of cocaine, and 46 pounds of heroin.
Troopers say 40 of the busts had drugs that were set to stay in Utah, but the rest were heading to another state.
Troopers also spent much of 2017 making arrests of those involved in card-skimming operations and other fugitives.
