Heavy Rain Forces Closure Of SR 211 In San Juan County

(San Juan County, UT) — The Utah Highway Patrol says part of State Route 211 in San Juan County is closed due to damage caused by heavy rain. The UHP tweeted yesterday that water and debris had impacted traffic on U.S. 191 and SR 211. Pictures from the area show parts of the roadway washed away or covered by mud and debris. While traffic was getting through on 191 last night, the closure of SR 211 at its intersection with 191 is expected to last until sometime later today.
