(Salt Lake City, UT) — A state court judge could rule later today on dismissing a lawsuit trying to overturn last year’s congressional redistricting in Utah. The lawsuit was filed by the League of Women Voters and Mormon Women for Ethical Government. They claim the state legislature acted illegally in approving congressional maps that heavily favor Republican candidates. The judge dismissed a request to delay the lawsuit made by lawyers for the state legislature and the Utah Attorney General’s Office earlier this week.
