(Millard County, MI) — The Halfway Hill Fire is ten-percent contained and a public meeting is set for 7 p.m. today at Fillmore’s North Park Pavilion for an update. The fire has scorched eleven-thousand-637 acres so far, and efforts to battle the flames were helped this week by monsoon rains. Sixty-two firefighters were taken by helicopter to areas hard to access and dropped thousands of gallons of water on the flames.
