(Salt Lake City, UT) — Now that Colorado has legalized the possession and use of psychedelic mushrooms, a nonprofit group would like to see the same thing happen in Utah. Utah Mushroom Therapy is hoping state lawmakers will support a bill that would allow the use of psilocybin, the active chemical in psychedelic mushrooms. The founder of the group says the drug could help those with mental health problems through its use in research and clinical therapy. He plans to present a petition to the Utah Legislature next month.
