(San Juan Co., UT) — Southern Utah is shifting a road project into drive. Lieutenant Governor Deidre Henderson and Navajo Nation officials broke ground earlier this week on the project in San Juan County. The upgrade will cost more than 150-million dollars and is part of an effort to help out locals and tourists visiting the area. It will see about 54 miles of state routes 162 and 262 get roadway surface improvements, while a roundabout will also be built in Montezuma. Henderson said it took roughly two decades of collaboration to get to this point.
