In the afternoon of July 8 fire crews from multiple agencies were called out to the Oak City area where a grass fire is threatening several residences. Residents around Dry Creek along Oak Creek Canyon Road have been told to be ready to evacuate the area. Deputies have closed roads and are checking area campgrounds and cabins to warn visitors of the fire danger. This is a developing story and we will update it with information as it becomes available.
