Governor Spencer Cox Calls For Changes To Proposed EV Mandates

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah’s Spencer Cox is one of more than a dozen Republican governors calling on President Biden to change course on electric vehicle mandates. In a letter posted online yesterday, fifteen governors say the plan proposed by the EPA last year is unrealistic. The EPA in its vehicle emissions standard proposed last spring looks to have electrical vehicles account for 67-percent of all new light-duty sales and 46-percent of medium duty sales by 2032. The governors say consumers should dictate these types of changes.
