(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Spencer Cox wants Utah to be ready for wildfires this season. He signed an executive order yesterday establishing the Working Group on Wildfire Management. It will be made up of the heads of several state agencies, including the Division of Forestry and the Department of Natural Resources. They must file a report outlining areas of concerns by June 1st. The report must also include “priority areas” for wildfire mitigation projects.
