Governor Says Southern Utah Water Issues Can Be Fixed

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Spencer Cox says pumping more water into the Great Salt Lake will not have an impact on efforts to address decreasing water levels on Lake Powell in southern Utah. Governor Cox says the watersheds are different and adds the effort in the south needs to be an all of the above approach due to tremendous growth. Lake Powell is down due to a 20-year drought. The Legislature is considering a 40-million-dollar bill for the Great Salt Lake.
