(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Spencer Cox is urging Utahns to get vaccinated and get their booster shots as COVID-19 cases increase around the state. The governor tweeted yesterday that the omicron variant of the virus has caused case numbers to increase “exponentially.” He also said the next few weeks could be “a little bumpy” as hospitals deal with patients suffering from COVID-19, the flu and other respiratory illnesses. He urged Utahns to get vaccinated, wear masks when in large crowds and stay home if feeling sick.
