Governor Cox Signs Bill On COVID-19 Vaccine Exemptions

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Employers in Utah will have to allow COVID-19 vaccine exemptions. Governor Spencer Cox signed SB 2004 into law on Tuesday which allows for coronavirus vaccine exemptions and bans any adverse action against employees who file for an exemption. Additionally under the new law, employers must pay for COVID-19 testing and bars them from keeping or maintaining records of an employee’s proof of vaccination.
