(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Cox is celebrating Utah’s economy after the state set a new record low for unemployment. The Utah Department of Workforce Services says just over 34-thousand Utahns were unemployed last month. The two-point-one-percent unemployment rate is the lowest ever recorded in the state. Governor Cox praised the new record in a weekend tweet, noting that Utah is one of only four states that has more jobs now than before the pandemic began.
