(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Spencer Cox doesn’t appear likely to defy a COVID-19 vaccine requirement for the Utah National Guard. The Salt Lake County Republican Party sent the governor a letter, urging him to push back on the mandate from the Biden administration to protect personal and religious freedoms of guardsmen. Governor Cox has signaled he won’t fight the mandate, noting that doing so would affect the National Guard’s readiness.
