(Salt Lake City, UT) — LGBTQ conversion therapy is officially illegal in the state of Utah. Governor Cox signed a bill yesterday outlawing the practice at a private ceremony attended by advocacy groups across the political spectrum. Utah had originally addressed the issue in a 2020 rule that denied licenses to therapists who practiced the widely refuted conversion techniques. This new law also provides guidelines for therapists.
