(Salt Lake City, UT) — Former Utah Governor Gary Herbert is calling a video showing teens in blackface wearing prison outfits hurtful and disappointing. The video gained national attention after the group was seen inside a Walmart in Cedar City on Monday. Herbert tells that the teens may have thought it was funny and probably had no idea why others might be offended. He says the video is a reminder that Utah still has a long way to go in combatting racism statewide.
