(Provo, UT) – A Provo ice skating arena built for the 2002 Winter Olympics is facing an uncertain future. City officials say Utah County will end financial support for the Peaks Ice Arena within the next six months. An email sent earlier this week to those who use the rink said the arena could be forced to close if the county drops its support. County officials dispute that, telling the “Deseret News” that they must find another organization to take over financial support of the arena before they stop funding it.Â
