(Salt Lake City, UT) — Members of the LDS Church are paying their respects to the late president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, M. Russell Ballard. Funeral services took place Friday morning, followed by a private burial. Ballard died at the age of 95 last Sunday after recently being discharged from the hospital. Jeffrey R. Holland has been called to serve as the acting president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. The acting president is responsible for presiding over the Quorum’s weekly gatherings, among other responsibilities.
