(Orem, UT) — Former Utah Governor Gary Herbert has been appointed to an open position on a national education board. Herbert became a member of the National Assessment Governing Board last week. He will work with other members of the board to set the standards for the National Assessment of Educational Progress. The assessment, also known as “The Nation’s Report Card,” is a national measurement of student achievement in a variety of subjects.
