(Ephraim, UT) — A former Ephraim Police officer is filing a lawsuit against the city.

Darren Pead was one of three former officers who resigned after raising concerns that former Chief Ron Rasmussen was not properly completing hundreds of police reports, dating back to 2008.

In his lawsuit, Pead contends that the Ephraim City Council took no action against Rasmussen, and then started a misconduct investigation against him and the two other officers as an act of retaliation.
