A large portion of the southern half of Utah is on flood watch.

The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City issued flash flood warnings for Zion National Park, North Creek, areas near Virgin River, and the Brian Head Fire burn scar.

A severe thunderstorm expected to produce heavy rain also has Castle Country and San Rafael Swell, Glen Canyon Recreation Area, and Utah’s Dixie on flood warnings.
