On Oct. 20 authorities responded to a near head on crash near Leamington. According to troopers, the crash occurred near milepost 7 on SR-132 when a Nissan Pathfinder headed east crossed the center line and struck a westbound Ford F-150 nearly head on.

The drivers of both vehicles were the only occupants in their vehicle. Neither individual was wearing their seatbelt and both died at the scene.

Troopers state that impairment is suspected as a contributing factor due to meth, marijuana, and prescription drugs found in the Pathfiinder.
