(Kane County, UT) – The former Kane County treasurer who stole tens of thousands of dollars will spend a month behind bars. A judge also ordered Georgia Baca to pay over 35-thousand dollars in restitution after she agreed to a plea deal with prosecutors that saw them drop most of the charges against her yesterday The Spectrum reports authorities started looking into Baca after county employees discovered deposits that were going into a personal account. Investigators say Baca took the money over a roughly two year period ending in January of 2016. Â
