(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Department of Wildlife Resources is recommending an increase in general-season deer hunting permits for Southern Utah. Many other units are seeing a decrease in permits but, in proposing the increase, the department said mule deer populations in Southern Utah are doing well. The deadline for public comments about the recommendations on the Department of Wildlife Resources website is tomorrow at 11:59 p.m. Southern Utah’s Resource Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday, April 18th, at 6 p.m. in the Student Center at Southern Utah University.
