Dr. Robert Armstrong, of Manti, has been recognized by Intermountain Healthcare with the Intermountain Medical Group’s Physician Outstanding Service award. The award recognizes physicians who have made a monumental impact on their patients and community.
Dr. Armstrong has more then 30 years of experience with Intermountain Healthcare, and he figures he has delivered more than 1,500 babies and treated five generations of some families during that time. He opened his practice in Manti in 1986 and was the only practicing physician in the town for 20 years. He was also involved in founding the Utah Valley Family Practice Residency program and was elected Utah Family Medicine Physician of the Year in 2016.
Dr. Armstrong and his wife, Beverly, are the parents of seven children and 15 grandchildren. As well, they have been involved with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for over 60 years combined.
