(Garfield County, UT) — A Department of Public Safety officer is facing a D-U-I charge in Garfield County. Investigators say Jason Whitehead was on his way to dive training on April 24th when they received calls of a reckless driver in Iron and Garfield counties. Sheriff’s office investigators also reportedly found an open bottle of liquor in Whitehead’s car. He’s facing three charges on top of the D-U-I in the case, including carrying a dangerous weapon while under the influence. He’s currently on administrative leave.
