(Orem, UT) — Florida Governor Ron DeSantis isn’t ready to say whether he’s running for president in 2024. DeSantis spoke to Utah Republican Party delegates on Saturday during their organizing convention at Utah Valley University in Orem. DeSantis was cheered by the delegates for comparing Utah to his home state of Florida, calling both states places where freedom works. The only disappointment for some delegates was that DeSantis failed to use the speech to launch his anticipated bid for the Republican nomination for president. Delegates elected new leadership during the convention and passed resolutions in support of the current Utah flag and using the caucus system to nominate future candidates.
