(Salt Lake City, UT) – The Utah Department of Health is urging more people to get the COVID-19 vaccine after evaluating data in the state. UDOH officials say unvaccinated individuals in the state are more than two-times as likely to contract the virus than vaccinated Utahns. The unvaccinated are nearly five times as likely to be hospitalized, and more than ten times likely to die.
