Crews Working On Major Fire Near Beaver

(Beaver, UT) — Crews are working to get a wildfire in southern Utah under control. Officials explained the Thompson Ridge Fire southeast of Beaver grew to more than 72-hundred acres as of yesterday afternoon but with zero-percent containment. The blaze started on August 4th following a lightning strike. More than 340 personnel are trying to get a handle on the flames, and the latest statement noted those crews were able to find areas to safely engage in suppression efforts around the fire perimeter.
